The Portuguese Young Biophysicists, from the Portuguese Biophysics Society, has the pleasure to invite the scientific community to the 2nd Meeting of Young Biophysicists, the “Biophysics Festival”, which will be held in Aveiro on the 3rd June 2022.
It is our great pleasure to present the 8th International Iberian Biophysics Congress that will take place in Bilbao, on the 20th-21st of June 2022, in an in-person format. The meeting is being organised as a joint effort by the Portuguese and Spanish Biophysical Societies and brings together researchers and students based in the Iberian Peninsula and Europe, who are interested in and working on the most recent advances in the field of Biophysics.
The Portuguese Biophysical Society is receiving applications for the SPBf Prize for Young Biophysicist 2022 during January 2022. This prize will award the young first author of the biophysical paper by a Portuguese team that was accepted for publication (with attributed DOI) or published in 2021 in the highest ISI impact factor journal. The Spanish-Italian-Portuguese-French Ion Channel Group (SIPF) and Società Italiana di Fisiologia (SIF) are pleased to announce that the 7th International Workshop on Structure and Function of Ion Channels and Transporters (SFICT) will be held in Sestri Levante, Genoa (Italy), the 2-5 October 2019. For this 7th edition of the workshop which gathers Italian, French, Portuguese and Spanish researchers from the ion channel field every two years, we are expecting a large international participation, which, through a format specially dedicated to young students and post-docs, will foster the exchange of results and ideas between renewed scientists and attendees in a friendly but stimulating environment.

Objective of the Workshop
To open a discussion forum for senior and junior researchers broadly interested in the field of ion channels and transporters, highlighting current research performed in laboratories from Italy, Spain, France and Portugal. Students and postdocs are especially encouraged to attend and present their results as posters or short talks.
Costs
The price for a double room to share is 250 euros per student or per young post-doc. Single room is 300 euros. The registration fee includes: lectures, attendance certificate, 3-night-accomodation including breakfast, coffee breaks, 2 lunches, 1 social dinner. After the early registration deadline an extra fee of 30% will be applied.
The price for the participants who do not need any accommodation is 150 euros including lectures, attendance certificate, coffee breaks, 2 lunches, 1 social dinner.

The main goal of the Advanced School is to provide young researchers (PhD and postdocs) with the state of the art of theoretical and experimental tools to study Biomolecular Interactions. The students will meet prominent biophysicists in the field and other young scientists in an attractive and convivial environment.
A significant number of travel grants (75) are available for eligible participants from other countries and Brazilian states other than Sao Paulo.
